I have motorola 2 way radios with a 5 mile range? Would these work in Europe?

I am not asking if it is legal, just whether they would work the way they do in the US.

yes they will work there, but you are not supposed to have them. In Europe, they have a Family Radio Service (the band used by your radios) but it is in a different frequency range. So if you used your radios over there, you would be transmitting probably on one of their public safety bands. Not cool.

Instead I would wait and buy a set when you get to whatever country you are going. In Europe, the band is called “PMR446″
