Windshield replacement techniques on the chevy equinox 05 and up?

I’m actually only interested in knowing any tips on taking the bottom bolts out for the oustide pillars where they connect to the cowel. The bolts have locktight or something on them, so each time I try to spin them out it just bends the metal bracket inside the pillar, and heat seems to do nothing….. what to do, what to do?

You have to use a “Blazer” type of torch to centrally heat the center of that torx bolt to remove it, they can be a PITA at times. Try holding bracket with a pair of pliers while turning bolt. You are talking about the bolt that holds the plastic outer trim on the windshield pillar, right? Hope so.
